As veterans and residents of Southern California it is our duty to protect our homestead. The part of the region we call home known as the California desert has a deep and distinct heritage that comprises a legacy not only for us but our entire nation. It boasts glorious mountain streams, historic trails, hidden oases, and diverse lands that allow wildlife such as bighorn sheep to thrive in an environment that has remained relatively unchanged for thousands of years. This beauty and diversity is in danger of being sacrificed if we do not stand together and take action.
